David Jones - Fork Mountain Fire Co
In 1976, David joined Fork Mountain Volunteer Fire Department as a Junior Member. He wanted to help his community in an area where there was a need. As a volunteer firefighter, he hoped his service would make a difference. 45 years later, David is still active and currently serving as President of the Department. He held the position of Assistant Fire Chief for several years, then as Fire Chief for 19 years. David has numerous trainings which include Firefighter I and II, Hazmat, Bus, Farm, and Vehicle Extrication. He is also a Lifetime Member of Fork Mountain Volunteer Rescue Squad.
David is married to Regena Woods Jones, he has a son, Travis, stepdaughter, Erica Elkins, and grandson, Mason. David works for Ferguson Land and Lumber and also farms. He enjoys beach trips, fishing, and camping. David is proud to continue serving his community, working with other fire and rescue volunteers, and Franklin County Public Safety.
